Ong Dung Beach is a fascinating destination located on Con Son Island, about 3 km from center to the west and it is a part of the Con Dao National Park. It has beautiful natural scenery, pristine, pure environment which is suitable for camping, team building and relax. It takes about 1 hour for walking on the trail through the forest from Park visitors center to Ong Dung beach.
To get here, you need to pay an entrance fee (including a snorkeling fee, if you plan to snorkel there) at the National Park Office. Be careful about leaving your things unattended, as they may be stolen by the monkeys
Ong Dung Beach makes for a good base to arrange for fishing trips, snorkeling or scuba diving opportunities, or to explore the nearby island (Tre Lon Island and Tre Nho Island) for sightseeing, swimming, bird watching, corals view, etc, as the rangers that are stationed here have inflatable rafts and for a free they can take you out. You can also rent kayaks from them. In order to access this beach you must first stop at the Con Dao National Park Office and obtain a free permit. After you have received the permit, continue following the road north and make a left at the small intersection that has a giant “Con Da island map” billboard. Loof for the Ong Dung Beach signage and follow that road to the Con Dao National Park checkpoint. A park ranger will check along the road towards the ong Dung Beach entrance signage and park your vehicle. Finally walk down the 700 meters concrete steps that take you into the Con Dao National park and at the very end you will reach Ong Dung Beach.
